This is a typical meal for the sugar gliders, North and Nocturne. I feed them a plan called Darcy's diet and it's worked out very well for us. On the left is vanilla Ensure with added powdered calcium. On the right is chopped fruits and veggies including grapes, papaya, mango, corn, peas, carrots, and sweet potatoes. Also, every night the gliders each get two mighty mealworms and a chunk of boiled chicken breast. Yum!

Do you raise the mealworms yourself or buy them?
Mealworms kind of creep me out!
Mealworms creep me out, too. It took me a while before I was able to start feeding them to the gliders. I buy them from Grubco. No way could I stand the thought of having a mealworm farm in my house.
Have you ever tried Bag O' Bugs or Orlux or any similar product? It's a lot less gross.
I guess I'm just used to feeding live mealworms now. The gliders love them. In the past I've tried giving them various dried/canned/preserved bugs as treats and they didn't want anything to do with them. They're picky little monsters.
