Crabitat Inhabitants

There haven't been any new additions to the crabitat lately so I'm posting some pictures of the crabs going about their usual daily business. Represented here are six different species.

Mutsu

Violet

Merah

Inca

Clementine

Barbados

Bali

Hi! My kids and I have been frequenting your site to get ideas for our crabitat! I'm just wondering what you use for your lighting. We don't currently use a light fixture but I'm thinking of getting one for our 30 gallon reptile tank.

I bought a regular fish tank hood for the 90 gallon crabitat. It came with two strip light fixtures. In one I use a plain flourescent bulb and in the other I use a UV bulb.

So I stumbled upon your 2009 crabitat video on youtube and absolutely loved it. I was planning on using a similar plexiglass installation for my new tank, but now I see that you're no longer using that setup, and you've got little plastic bins in there instead (though the diagonal partition is still visible). What happened? Why the change?

Unfortunately, the pools started leaking after about a year so I had to pull them out.
